Proclamation of Inclusivity

Dear fellow faith leaders:

The City of Grand Junction is planning to read a Proclamation of Inclusivity for the city of Grand Junction at the City Council meeting to be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 6 pm at City Hall, 250 N 5th Street. Our Faith Leaders group shall express our unequivocal support for this Proclamation to be read and adopted by our City Council.

We would love to have everyone present to show support for the human rights of all our brothers and sisters. We want to set a strong intention for a new way of championing equal values and celebration of all the diversity in our city and create a place where all people feel not only safe, but welcome.
We encourage you and your congregation to attend this important meeting on Wednesday evening. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to prepare for the meeting.

Also, there is a Candlelight Vigil in support of the Grand Junction City Council’s Proclamation of Inclusivity. This will be held THIS SUNDAY December 16, 2018 at  5 PM in front of City Hall at 250 N. 5th Street.

The proclamation and vigil are in response to the recent activity of hate and intolerance evidence by the flying of the Nazi and Confederate flags in Fruita. We find these and similar acts to be unacceptable. Join us for these two events in support of a world that works for everyone.

We will see you there.
In Love and Oneness,
Together Colorado and Grand Valley Interfaith Network
